Hold up

I better see a change in the outcome of that poll on the right. Ok, it's only 7 votes so far (the one pro-Jets vote being mine) but it definitely rained on my anti-Belichick parade. The Jets beating the Colts in Super Bowl III was BY FAR the biggest upset in Super Bowl history. Yesterday doesn't even compare to what the Jets did. Right now, I have homework to do and racquetball to play but you can count on a post about this in the near future.

  1. Hate to tell you, E, but very few (if any) who read and write for this blog were around for that historic upset. It was big back then but this is bigger now. The current will always trump the past. Just the way it is. However, I agree in a way. That was a huge upset and really changed the outlook of football since it was still the AFL vs the NFL. I still have to go with XLII because 1) I watched it and 2) the Patriots were supposed to be the greatest of all time. I don't think a majority of fans/writers ever considered the 1968-1969 Baltimore Colts the best ever. I could be wrong. Just my opinion. I'm looking forward to your write-up. Maybe you'll change my mind ;-)
