Congratulations to the Appalachian State University Mountaineers, winners of the FCS (AKA Division 1-AA) National Championship, who won in a 49-21 romp over the Delaware Blue Hens. It is the first time a 1-AA school has won three consecutive national titles.
Maybe their upset win over Michigan wasn't so embarrassing after all.
No, wait. It still is.
(P.S. -- With this win, the Mountaineers finished the season 2-0 against teams with winged helmets.)
