There isn't really much to say. However, it's funny that Omar Minaya and the Mets would do this after the lousy Mets actually won 2 games in a row. You knew it was going to happen sooner or later but couldn't it have been done after one of the many times they lose 2 or 3 in a row? And perhaps when the citizens and media are awake? Did they think announcing this at 3:15 in the morning would cover up this mess? Maybe. Randolph may have been invisible to his players but not to the New York media. Coaches are always the fall guy and rarely is it entirely their fault. This is no exception. While Willie had his moments - good and bad - he is hardly to blame for this atrocity since last September. The team is old and lacks leadership...which is ridiculous considering how many veterans are on the team. Blame injuries all you want but the team has no heart and many of the players are overrated. It really is sad. Rivalries and division match ups are more fun when one of the teams isn't the butt of all jokes. I guess that's why you don't hear much about a Phillies/Nationals game ever.
On a side note... Let's Go Phillies! Send the Massholes back home without a win! Moyer vs Lester, 7:05pm tonight, @ CBP.
